Sirrus unveils a hat-trick of new products at IFSEC

Sirrus, the UK's leading specialist in Network Video Solutions - is unveiling the VMS2000 - billed as being the World's first true Virtual Matrix System, and the IPVR-100 and the IPTX-500 at IFSEC.

The VMS2000 allows, for the first time, video cameras to be fully managed and viewed across any IP network, giving each operator the ability to observe hundreds of different cameras at the same time in mosaic format, thanks to the unique VMS2000 user interface.

An additional feature of the system enables the viewing of workstations thousands of miles away from the central LAN using leased-line based connections. The VMS2000 also features: simultaneous playback with recording, video switching and recording on standard IT industry disc or tape file server.

The IPVR - IP Video Recorder, is a recording manager unit for IP cameras and codecs, one of the first to be compatible with multiple manufacturers, which can receive pictures from any HTTP serving JPEG camera.

Finally, the IPTX or IP Transmission Unit connects to any standard CCTV system and makes the cameras and recordings visible over a LAN or WAN.

Managing Director Paul Davey was excited about the range of new technology on offer and is looking forward to displaying it at IFSEC.

"IFSEC is arguably the most important show on the security calendar so it's appropriate to be unveiling the VMS2000, IPVR and IPTX at it. We are very proud of all the systems and believe they have huge potential."

Sirrus designs and implements video systems on IP networks for remote viewing of a wide range of surveillance uses such as security, retail, traffic, marina and environmental monitoring.

Other technology on show at the Sirrus stand, number F93, is the Easylink wireless video network and the new Easylink Rapid wireless IP Dome camera for rapid deployment.

Personal demonstrations are available by calling Sirrus before the show on 07000 747 787.

IFSEC is being held at the Birmingham NEC on the 13 to 16 of May.
